Clint paused, that one hitting home. He deserved it. Maybe they all did. But the truth, too, was important, and that’s what Clint gave Tony as he turned to give him one last look before leaving for his rooms:

“He a threat, Tony. And the quicker you and he get to accepting that, the quicker this torture can end.

In which Tony, Bruce, Clint, Pepper, and others have to face reality, and don't like how it looks.

Doing NaNoWriMo 2012!

So - I've been radio silent for a while.  I'm sorry.

I've been writing and plotting like mad, though. Have all manner of awesomeness I want to bring to the fan fic world.  However...first, I promised myself I'd do National Novel Writing Month this year.

I'm working away on an original fic, then, that's summarized very briefly on my NaNoWriMo info page.  Feel free to follow along, and words of encouragement are always welcome. :)

I have two new chapters up in the fan fic world, too - I'll post on those separately here in a bit.

Haven't posted new stuff in a while

It's because everything I'm working on is loooooooong.

I need to figure out how to write shorter pieces.  Working on 40+k stuff takes too long.

Title: Hulk Versus Mythbusters!
Author: saltwriting (aka s_alt)
Characters/Pairing: Bruce Banner &Tony Stark, Jamie Hyneman & Adam Savage
Rating:  Teen and Up
Word Count: 3,547

Warnings: this is pretty much fluff

This is a second story written for this prompt at avengerskink on LJ.

SUMMARY

“Did someone tell the Hulk he could have our fighter plane?” a voice asked loudly. In the background, the Hulk growled his disapproval, and Adam could hear Tony trying to explain around stomps and snarls. There was a terrible screech of metal giving way, then shouts and a couple of startled cries.

In which Jamie and Adam film a Mythbusters episode, taking on the idea that Hulk is the strongest there is!

Poor neglected journal

I know, I know, everyone told me that if I was gonna write fan fic, I needed an LJ for it, and here it is...

And it's sad how little attention I give you.

I'm on Archive of our Own all the time, and Tumblr gets my daily attention, but here you sit, alone, forlorn.  I didn't even post my newest fic here.

I'm sorry, journal.  I'll try harder, I promise.

Writing update

Hiya.

Over the past two weeks, my writing has been moving slow, mainly because the creative side of my brain just shut down and refused to help me out.  I've written - but mainly it's been beta reads of other people's stuff or emails or political statements elsewhere.

But my actual creative writing - suffered.

I'm happy to say, then, that I actually finished a fun, fluffy fan fic piece today. I've got beta readers looking at it, and hope to put out in the world soon!

So yay!

Writing progress yesterday!
statement, amazing
saltwriting
So - I wasn't in work yesterday, so I was able to spend a good part of the day working on other stuff.

I didn't get as far in writing as I would have liked, but here's what I did:
  • Finished up a scene in my silly fan fic and planned out the next one,
  • Read the reboot of Incredible Hulk that was done in the comics in 2012, which now is strongly informing how I'm thinking about my Bruce in my bigger story, so I
  • Started a revision of a scene I'd intended to revise anyway in the bigger story - one I have to do to move forward, because I have to know how it ends to figure out what happens next.
  • Aaand - talked to a couple of people about writing.
So not a waste.  I'm not sure if I got to the number of pages edited that I wanted, but there was forward progress. :)

How's everyone else doing?

SUMMARY

No one else was willing to see this for what it was. They called it an accident, a lapse. An issue. They brushed his shoulder as they walked by, hid sympathetic expressions, changed subjects. They pretended things were normal, okay, unchanged. They didn’t ask for explanation, and Bruce didn’t offer any.

Because, in the end, there was no justification. This was murder, and Bruce was guilty of it.

Bruce accidentally kills someone, and doesn't deal well with the guilt.
