I always lust over trying to do Remix. And every year I remember that I a) don't write enough in popular fandoms and b) don't write enough in general. I think last year I wrote five full-length fics. And they were all for Yuletide or another fic exchange. And for vaguely common fandoms, I wrote about eight commentfics for comment_fic.

I wish I could write more, but it seems like every time I start trying to write for myself (as opposed to having an externally imposed deadline and a fic recipient) I just flail and shut down. Which sucks because Remix is the sort of thing I'd do well with-- if I could write enough to qualify for it.

Happy Mother's Day. Have some dragonspam.

A more interesting update will come eventually, I promise. Probably after finals are over.

I wandered into Hot Topic today, while I was out buying tea, and there appears to be quite a lot of Twilight merch.

Next to all the stuff with RPattz's face, and "Team Edward", "Team Jacob", "The lion lay down with the lamb" and all the other ridiculous slogans, I saw a keychain with what was probably the best five-word summary of the books ever:

SIDE A: Sick, masochistic lion
SIDE B: Stupid lamb

I may have bought it.

Connie is over-- she's playing Shadow Hearts:Covenant. It's been a fun afternoon. She and I went shopping (or, well, I went shopping a little. We did a lot of joking around.) And then we came home, hung out, and made dinner.

I've bought some kinda girly clothes lately. Found a gray and red pleated skirt in Hot Topic that FIT me. And pin-stripe pants. They were both on sale, which is a yay. Same with the polo shirt and graphic tees from Aeropostale. I think I'm going to avoid the mall for a while now.
