Art and Fanmix: The End Opening Into New Ends Always

I swear to god I will post something other than art and mixes eventually.

about: Companion art and mix for recycledstars's 1920s Castle AU, The End Opening Into New Ends Always. It's a fabulous murder mystery.

The mix is mainly contemporary covers of semi-period music, with some contemporary and semi-period music mixed in (actually, the music is more 1930s-40s, but it worked out better this way. Hush).

New York City, 1925, Katherine Beckett walks into a joint and starts asking questions about a murder, capturing the attention of one Richard Castle, struggling writer extraordinare. Inspired, he tags along as they unravel the mystery surrounding her mother's murder years before.

When Special Agent Castiel Novak was transferred to work with the driven and fixated Special Agent Victor Henrickson in a quest to bring down the Winchester crime family, he had a feeling that things weren’t going to turn out well. He thinks his biggest obstacles will be his new partner's obsessions, the ruthlessness of the family they’re investigating and his own terrible secrets. In the end, the real enemy is worse than anything he could ever imagine.

Art and Fanmix: A Thunderous Sound

about: Companion art and a mix for the urban fantasy noir original story Black Ice by kittydesade/Jag.

When the necromancer walked into my office, I didn't know how bad my day could get from there. I thought her death got me off the hook, but I didn't know how wrong I was. Now it turns out there might be a full scale war brewing between the Hellhounds and the damned pixies, of all people, and guess who gets stuck in the middle?

Why doesn't anyone sell Takashi Murakami prints? WHY, people? I was sort of looking, as something to put up on my wall when (kenahora) takaishihoshi, kazeoto, and satrugha and I move in together at the beginning of December.

I have other prints, stashed somewhere in my room, but I mean, come on, people! Takashi bloody Murakami!

Those last two links are seriously not worksafe, by the way. :D

I know there are a bunch of expensive prints on eBay, as well as some buttons (want), some stuffed animals (want), and some figurines (WANT). Dammit, people.

Takashi Murakami is a Japanese artist who does art critiquing consumerism, otaku culture, Japanese culture, post-war mentality, and other topics. He's credited with starting a movement called "superflat", and in general is just wicked awesome.

Edit: Okay, so I'd honestly settle for schwag by Ursula Vernon (thanks to siadea, who showed me the lady's website!), but still...
