I care a lot about the tools I use and frequently try out new ones or try to optimize my existing tools.

Development

• VSCode: mostly for viewing code and files at this point
• bb: coding agent homebase
• Claude Code, Codex: coding agent subscriptions
• pi: main coding agent harness
• CodexBar: AI subscription usage limit tracking

Productivity

• Superhuman: email client, I also use it as my to-do list
• Monologue: voice to text anywhere my cursor is
• Obsidian: knowledge management
• Readwise Reader: unified substack/twitter/blog reader + highlights
• AI Gate: dedicated desktop app to access all AI chatbot sites with tmux-style tabs/windowing (I am a contributor)

General Mac

• Google Chrome: no strong use case for an AI browser yet
• Charmstone: app switcher / launcher; I love keyboard shortcuts
• Maccy: clipboard history
• Rectangle: window management
• BetterDisplay: display resolution + brightness
