Maddie did so at the end of a major encounter for a heroic sacrifice.
Unless the sonic attack attempt at the edge of the silence zone managed to get to someone else out of silence range, her “sacrifice” accomplished no tactical advantage.
Still, highly unusual that someone in the MC gang gets folded with no contribution while nameless soldier losses are still at two.
(click whirr)
Of the 117 people on the castle, we only lost three, but Roxxane was among them. We already lost a core member before we needed to use a second hand to count casualties.
Rounding errors are going to bet his guy’s downfall but so far his math is mathing, at 2.56% losses she was the rounding error he ancipated.
We don’t know for sure that she’s dead. Modrons want efficiency, so after putting her to 0HP he probably doesn’t care whether she stabilizes or not, as she’s no longer a hindrance to his mission.
OW. Okay, yeah, considering that Roxy just got OHKO’ed here, I think I called it when I said those poor guards got pulped in one hit each.
I hate to say it, but plate-for-a-dome here is probably going to go on a tear unless someone or something throws a wrench into his plans. It would be delightfully ironic for his meticulously plotted scheme to fail due to one miniscule unforseen detail.
One of three things is going to happen:
1) Roxy isn’t dead
2) Roxy is dead, and part of this story arc takes place in the afterlife, the resolution of which resurrects her
3) Nearly every protag is going to die, before the last survivor hits a reset button.

So apparently the Python also flipped off the plot armor into a red shirt.
You mean a red *smear*
Maddie also died. On stage.

Maybe they needed the belt of genre changing to turn the story into a dark fantasy.
🙁
She’s fine.
Is this universal idiot ball day?
A bard moving into melee range of a 3 meter golem?
Troops failing to understand a silence spell is an attack?
I suppose regular troops lack the knowledge skills to immediately recognize a Silence spell.
Wouldn’t the Python reverse that though?
It probably _could_, but you’d need to use it on itself first.
The Python reverses this trait or that one, not a general mirror effect.
The Python is at work.
I’m kinda …speechless!
Well. Robespierre’s going to be absolutely apoplectic and they’ll need a new diamond.
Welp. So, about that stuff going on in the afterlife…
Why have we had no report from the White Knight? Are the memory problems for everyone?
Skippy: “Yo. Pretty gnarly, huh?”
Now that’s an unpleasant reunion.
Remind me, is Rusty&Co doing April Fools stuff?
… Yes. Don’t worry, she’s fine. She’s just going to the farm.
Silence denying a bard’s dying words.
How cruel. :-0
Time to eat metal!
Roxy’s a D&D bard with a lute. She doesn’t play metal.
She handled rock well enough though.
Possibly relevant: a video called “Doth My Lute Hath The Courage To Shred?”

Also, turns out there are medieval covers of lots of songs on YouTube, though few seem to be lute-only.

He’s already tempted fate. He said that luck was not involved when Miss Happ is on the other side.
What about bad luck? He does have the Python after all…

Even minor head wounds can make for a LOT of blood, we can always hope she just got her bell rung instead of tolled.
