I'm at the library again and there is a dude sitting diagonally at a computer chewing his nails and looking as if he missed his tax due date and his wife is leaving him. I'm getting proximity stress, here. Also he has these weird red marks on his forehead that might be burns.
I have been learning to cook! It's a hobby. Still no job; picked up more applications today. And there's like, a community theater really close to my house that I'm totally gonna join. I need to get out more.
This library is full of MySpace brats. It's really difficult not to smack them all collectively upside the head.
Note to various people I have kicked off the phone: Sorry. My life is basically not in my own hands lately and it's bizarre. Um. Anyway, I'm gonna be hom eafter six today if anyone wants to call me and I promise not to kick anyone off the phone again.
P.S: Jesus Christ I miss fandom. I wrote some Ha-Ha Brothers fic that I should probably post. If I don't have time today after powering through another however-many pages of my backlogged f-list, I'll get to it in the next couple of days. BUT I DID MANAGE TO READ THE NEWEST ONE PIECE AND EYESHIELD 21 CHAPTERS. Go me! I so need someone to geek out to, argh.
So, I was reading Eyeshield 21 (have I mentioned I'm into ES21 now? Because I really really am. Y'all seriously need to read it, stat. I haven't fallen this much in love with a manga since One Piece, and anyone who knows me knows that's saying something) and had something akin to a Reverse Funny Aneurysm moment because of this page.
Says the Hakushyuu Dinosaurs quarterback, apropos of nothing: "My last name, Maruko, sounds like a girl's, doesn't it? So just call me Marco. If it's Marco, not Maruko, it sounds kind of dangerous, like a suave Italian man, right?"
This statement is probably only funny at all if you've talked extensively with hinas_otaku or sparkestra, or if you've read this. Or this, or this, or maybe this or at least this, which most of you probably have not done considering that this is basically such a fandom in-joke it's stupid.
But if you are me, this is roaringly hilarious, and that's the important part.
God this entry is full of links.
(And yes, I did post this just to make more people read Eyeshield. DO IT.)
One True Pairing Ship: Canon Ship: "If this happens I'll stab my eyes out with a spork" Ship: "You are one sick bastard" Ship: "I dabble a little" Ship: "It's like a car crash" Ship: "Tickles my fancy but not sold just yet" Ship: "Makes no canon sense but why the Hell not" Ship: "Everyone else loves it but I just don't feel it" Ship:
You people know me. And if you don't, my fandoms are in my interests.
If you happen to be working on some creative writing project, fanfiction or NaNoWriMo or what have you, post exactly one sentence from each of your current work(s) in progress in your journal. It should probably be your favourite or most intriguing sentence so far, but what you choose is entirely your discretion. Mention the title (and genre) if you like, but don't mention anything else -- this is merely to whet the general appetite for your forthcoming work(s).
Reactions to and impressions on Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, Part One (because there may be more later if I have to add something I’ve forgotten):
So I made a community with jensa_chan. I was whining at him, about...oh, what was it. Oh right! No one in fiction seems to have tics. Nail-biting, random humming, thumb-twiddling...things of that nature. No character seems to have any. I said, "I wish there was a LiveJournal community for ranting about fiction." Jame's reponse? "Make one." So, following his brilliant advice, I did! And he's the co-maintainer because he knows how to do stuff that I don't. It's called fictionrants and if you want to make me happy you will join and post your fiction-related complaints on it.
Aside from that, I got back to Mercy on the prom dress thing. They do not actually have to match, she says, because I explained my "go with the flow" thing to her and she thought it sounded good. Besides, I'm reasonably sure she was only doing it because her mom bitched her out about coordination. Gods, but that woman drives me up the wall. Also, she called me "honey" yesterday morning on the phone and it made me irrationally giddy. Somebody shoot me before I turn into one of those people.
In four hours or so (none of which I will be alseep for, because I'm just that stubborn), I will be going to Chicago to see that Body exhibit, or whatever it's called, with the dead people. Noah went to see it in Detroit and said it was awesome-sauce (yes, he actually uses that in conversation), so I expect that it shall be entertaining. Heh, only my family goes to dead people on Easter. We will surely crack tasteless jokes in relation to Jesus during our visit.
Oh, this bit it all sorts of fun. My dad came home at midnight and yelled for me until I came out of my room to see what on earth was going on, and lo and behold, my dog Blondie was bleeding profusely all over the kitchen floor. Apparently she chased after some animal in the dark and got bitten, or gouged herself on a stick, or something. I had to hold her still while my dad cleaned the wound and wrapped it and wiped up the kitchen floor (and this was not a few drips, this was thick puddles of blood all over the floor, I'm surprised she hadn't passed out), and now she is in the kitchen to prevent blood on our carpet. Yes, she has food and water and the rug she sleeps on, she is fine. Our area does not have emergency vet services because it is composed mainly of and heavily populated by stupid jackasses, but we'll get her checked out tomorrow. That was not a fun way to spend half an hour, let me tell you.
Also, I seem to be making myself a small collection of friends via fanficrants. This makes me happy. I like new friends, especially cool ones who make coherent and intelligent posts and who enjoy my fanfiction and general ramblings, and my new friends seem to fit that description rather well. Hearts to all of you folks. Oh, and I will be writing more OHSHC fic, because...always with the OHSHC fic, shameless fangirl that I am. And also the MirrorMask fic because why is there not more of it, this is unforgiveable and must be corrected, although one of my new friends did rec me one that was stunning and glorious and all around so good it nearly hurt. Extra hearts to you.
And that's all, because I need to go tend to my dog some more and further plot my fics that are in the works.
key_revolution has just agreed to become my bride. That makes FOUR. Oh, I am on a roll.
EDIT AGAIN: I now have a demon named Zenedai, and also dragryphon. They are my only male wives. Mwahaha.
EDIT THE THIRD: jensa_chan has elected to join the harem! Which is awesome. Somehow I always figured that if there was going to be a harem I'd be in Jame's, not the other way around. Not that I'm complaining. ~<3
I commented on someone's blog because they said that they had found fluffy romance fic involving Pyramid Head. I said "You have not seen fandom weirdness until you have seen Doctor/TARDIS and Jack Sparrow/The Black Pearl."
And now I have people commenting and telling me "Oh those are totally canon, I have some good fic for it, wanna see?"
I have learned two things of great import today:
1) NO AMOUNT OF CRACKERY CANNOT BE JUSTIFIED BE DEDICATED FANS.
2) I need to stop drinking tea while checking my messages.
