Mmm, coffee. And money.
I told myself I wasn't going to bother updating until I had a job and therefore something to say, but it looks like I might have one lined up. I got an interview for the Arabica Coffee House, which went well-- the owner's name is Joe, and I hope I get the job just so I can work there long enough to make fun of him for it-- and I'm hoping I'll get a call sometime this week or next. A few other places look hopeful, but this is the one I'm shooting for.
Also, I live near a city. Being a country bumpkin, it had somehow never occurred to me that living in what technically constitute suburbs meant that somewhere nearby there would be urbs. The city library has an elevator, a snack bar, a gift shop, and a self checkout counter. I want to live there.*
Also, we got an Obama campaign sign for the back yard. I feel very democratic.
P.S: This is amazing. Read it. It's not that long.
* Even though, somehow, they did not have the book I wanted. A Clash of Kings, second in the A Song Of Ice And Fire series. If it's as good as the first I will be wholly justified in pining for it like a mad thing.
