Haha I'm an idiot
Okay, so for those of you who don't know, I have this issue, which is that I can't get up and walk around my house at night in the dark without becoming utterly convinced that someone is going to jump out with a knife and kill me. This is attributable one half to the movie The Strangers and the other half to some sort of paranoia disorder that I don't think there's a name for that isn't twelve syllables long. Anyway.
So last night I went to bed at around 7 p.m. because I hadn't slept for a couple days, and I got up at...I don't know, 1:30 a.m.? And I went to the kitchen for some water. So I'm standing at the sink washing a glass, because I'm a moron and forgot to run the dishwasher, and I get this feeling like someone is lurking around the kitchen corner. But I convince myself not to look, because A) I realize that this is completely stupid and B) if I look, it will make it worse, and then I will have to look the other way and then I'll probably freak out and have to sit with my back to the counter for fifteen minutes holding a steak knife because I can't function like a normal human being at 1:30 in the morning.
So I keep washing my glass.
And I get myself some water, and finally I manage to shake off this feeling of encroaching doom long enough to turn around to go back to my room--
AND THEN SOMEONE WALKS AROUND THE FUCKING CORNER.
So needless to say I screamed bloody murder and flung my water everywhere and fell on my ass and tried to scramble back into the corner and then this person runs across the kitchen to the light switch and turns it on, and it's my dad, and he's like "What the hell is going on!? D:"
And I felt like a complete idiot. A complete idiot who was having a heart attack.
And that was my morning. :D
P.S: I've decided I need to read and/or watch Hunter x Hunter and Gintama. Anyone else familiar with these? Is this a good idea? Should I do the manga or the anime first?
