Overactive Imagination
Gashi soshite aisatsu, and welcome to Sasori's Rock. Well, it's Friday. Yeah. Friday is good, because the weekend...you know. Weekends are good. (You seem distracted, Sasori.) I know. Sumimasen. I'm trying to find a way out of here. (Where are we, anyway?) I'm not sure...I think we might be somewhere in the back of my mind. (I see. Well, that would explain the echo...) Don't start with me, Takusan. Now is not the time. (Sumimasen. So how did we get back here, anyway?) I haven't a clue. Help me look for a light switch. (You have electricity in here?) Obviously. How else would the "idea lightbulb" work? (Ha ha, very funny.) I'm serious. Help me find the switch. (Um, okay...oh, here it is! *click*) Wow, I had no idea how cluttered my brain is. (No wonder you can't remember anything. Hey, maybe this is why Kumori Shuga wanted out so badly.) I have to admit, I would not want to live in these conditions. Maybe I should be a little nicer to poor Kumori... (Sasori, darling! Is that you?) On second thought... (Oh, and Takusan, too! What brings you two here?) (We have no idea. Do you know how this might have happened?) (Me? Why Takusan Kangae, I'm surprised at you! What part could I possibly have in this?) Kumori...what did you do? (Oh, nothing...) (Kumori, you do realize that I'm about a foot taller than you, right?) (Well, a girl gets a little lonely back here among all these unused ideas and abandoned thoughts. Is it too much to ask for a little company?) (YES!) (Oh. Well, I can see that I'm not wanted here. I quit!) WHAT?! You can't quit! Who's going to deliver the ideas that Takusan leaves for me? (Why can't he just give them directly to you?) (I do my best inspiration outside the public eye. Namely, when everyone is asleep. All muses work that way. It's hardwired into our brains like the instinct to seek shelter and protect our young.) Or in your case, to collect stamps. (Exactly. *double take* Hey!) (Are you two done? If so, I'm leaving!) ...Why are you still here? (I, um...don't really know the way out.) YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET OUT OF HERE?! (Not really...I have a vague idea...) (Well, what is it? All this junk is so dusty it's making my sinuses act up.) I have a weekend to get back to, you know. (Well...I think you have to turn left at the Childhood Memories and keep going straight until you reach the Useless Information. After that, I'm pretty sure you have to make a right at Reoccurring Nightmares.) Okay, what next? (Let me think...oh, that's right: there's a tunnel near the Strange Facts that goes up for about twenty feet. Once you get to the top, there should be a nightclub called Buster. It's a hangout for your past imaginary friends.) (You have a nightclub in your brain? That's creepy...) Hey, Buster was my first imaginary friend! Is he still here? (Of course. He can't find his way out either. I wouldn't worry, though; he has a building named after him. I'm sure he's getting along quite well.) True. Anything else? (Yes. Once you pass Buster, head down the Hallway of Wasted Opportunities and take the second door on the left.) Wait a minute...you mean my life is a wasted opportunity? That doesn't make any sense. (It's the doorway to the Middle School where you could've made friends, joined extracurricular activities, and become popular. Your house is close by.) Oh. Okay, that makes sense. Let's go, Takusan. (Um...sure...I'm confused now.) You're confused all the time. Pick up that Figment of the Imagination and come on. (I'm not touching that thing! It's a one-eyed blue octopus with twenty-seven tentacles and melancholy personality!) (Hey, you'd be melancholy too if you lived in this dump.) (Okay, Sasori, I'm coming!) Thanks, Kumori. (Hey Kumori, why don't you go hang out at Buster? I'm sure you'd fit in there just fine.) (Hmm...well, I guess I could try it out...yeah, I'll do that! Good idea!) (That's my job.) Okay, let's get going! I want to get back to reality so I can lounge around. I'll see you later, Kumori Shuga! (Adiosu, Sasori and Takusan!)
Aikou kara Sasori! (Hey, aren't you going to take me with you? I'm so alone...)
