I love this song so much.
Okay, first off, I have internet this weekend! I am so happy. :D
Second, my dad found out (via Evan) that I write fanfic. He also found out that, specifically, I write Lucci/Kaku fanfic. Now, my dad is a liberal-minded and progressive guy who is very understanding, but he also works with a woman whose daughter is a raging yaoi fanbrat, and for this reason I am intensely relieved that my father seems to be of the impression that Lucci is a woman. (I'd be worried that the idea would spawn plotbunnies, but fandom has already been there.)
Oh, and since I've been without internet for some time, I've been checking through a lot of my old writing in order to gain some perspective: things I need to correct, things I've done well, etc. I discovered that I have this tendency to use a fuckton of compound sentences. I can't decide if this is bad or not, because while normally that would be annoying, it is kind of, well, my style. Anyway, I'll have to watch that from now on and see if I can at least vary my sentence structure a lot.
Also, none of my characters are ever happy. We don't do happy in Leone Land. We do melancholy, depression, and occasionally bitter, ironic humor. Poor characters of mine. I should stop killing everyone they love and repo-ing their houses and shit. I'll look into that.
By the way, y'all need to listen to The Pierces.
threepwillow knows what I'm talking about, here. Vocally, they remind me of Shirley Manson (only less grunge) but instrumentally they're kind of like a brighter and less piano-oriented Fiona Apple. Good stuff.
