Listens: Billy Joel - We Didn't Start The Fire

In which I get unnecessarily emotional about a Billy Joel song.

Did I ever tell you guys that I love this song? I know, I know, it's cheesy, but...well, it's all the things I never lived through that make me sad to think about. My grandpa tells me stories about all the things that happened when he was younger, and my mom tells me all the stories from when she was little, and...I don't know. Like the part about J.F.K. getting shot. It reminds me of Bobby getting shot. Did I ever mention that Bobby Kennedy is my hero? He actually cared about the damn country, and the people, and the world...okay, I'm rambling. I just wanted to say that I love this song and it's probably stupid but I'm kind of sad now. XD

(You know, my mom believes that the Kennedys really are cursed. It's probably because she's part Hungarian-- she throws salt over her left shoulder when she spills it and everything. Very superstitious. Personally, I just think it's that all of them seem to be such good, caring, decent people, and the universe has decreed that we can't have too many of those on Earth at one time.)
