I Now Own Demon's Shoes
This one is called "Nobody Cares" and was inspired by George Carlin and the general state of the world. Angst warning.
George Carlin was right. Nobody really cares anymore.
No one cares that the environment is (figuratively and almost literally) going to Hell in a handbasket. No one cares that the government is screwing us over. No one cares that people whose religions tell them not to kill people are killing people in the names of their religions. No one cares about their fellow man.
People will walk right past a homeless man on the street, turn a lost child away, ignore the please for help from that lost child's mother. No one donates money to cancer research facilities anymore. Men don't hold doors open for women and women don't give men the courtesy of handing out their real number or none at all. People disgust me.
But yesterday, a girl I don't even know smiled at me in the hallway.
There's hope.
We here at Sasori's Rock are committed to letting you know that yes, there really are nice people left on the planet. Even if we aren't some of them. Cheers!
