Listens: Behind These Hazel Eyes by Kelly Clarkson

Good Morning, Or A State In The Midwest?

Gashi soshite aisatsu, everyone, and welcome to Sasori's Rock! (Konnichiwa!) Wow, it sure is lonely around here. (Tell me about it.) I had a family reunion a few days ago, but now everyone has gone home. You wouldn't believe how many people showed up, though! (Let's see: On your dad's side, there was your uncle Troy and aunt Peggy and their kids Sophia and Cullin, and your uncle Damon and aunt Lia and their kids Andy and Emma.) Hai, and on Mom's side there was Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Marie and Uncle Pete and their kids Drew and Daniel. (What about Katrina?) Oh! Of course, I keep forgetting her because she's such a new addition to the family. (Isn't she thirteen years old?) Hai, but she was just recently adopted by Pete and Marie. (And now she has to go back to her real mom...) Poor Treeners. Life just isn't fair sometimes. (Aw, cheer up! You'll still get to see her once in a while!) I know, but I'm still really going to miss her, even if we don't have anything in common and we only get along 15% of the time. (Is she the one who did your hair like that?) Hai. Pretty cool, huh? (It's awesome. She should be a professional hair stylist.) We keep telling her that. I think she'd be really good at it. She's done mine like this a couple of times. She just takes little sections of my hair and twists them and pulls them back with tiny little rubber bands. It looks sort of like cornrows, but it only goes back halfway. And they're bigger, so there are only eight of them instead of like fifty. I'm really bad at describing hair styles, but trust me, it really is a lot cooler than it sounds. (It looks like it hurt to get it done.) Are you kidding me?! It was excruciating! Yeesh! It was worth it, though. Anyway, everyone left this morning around 9:00 to go back to Ohio. (Oh! Tell them about the guy at the pool!) Huh? Oh, right! Okay. Well, Pete and Marie and the kids were staying at an A-frame at this vacation place called Chalet on The Lake not far from my house. Katrina and I were at the pool, and these two guys from the apartment next to them were talking to us. One of them asked where we were from, and Katrina said she was from Ohio. The other guy said "Hey, isn't that what Japanese people say when the meet each other? Ohayou!" and I said "No, that means 'good morning'. They say 'konnichiwa' as a greeting." They just stared at me for about five seconds, and the first guy just said "Really?" (That must've been entertaining.) It was pretty funny, hai. (Oh, by the way Sasori, it's Saturday!) And we all know what that means: INUYASHA! (Now if only we can make sure not to miss this one...) I haven't seen a new episode for weeks! Canada doesn't have Cartoon Network. (Don't worry, I made a mental note for you and passed it on to Kumori Shuga, head of the Ideas Department.) Takusan, you know that my subconscious can't be trusted to keep track of important information! (I also tacked it up on the wall next to your bed.) Oh. Arigatou, Takusan Kangae. (No problem. Now if you'll excuse me, my stamp collection needs to be reorganized according to the new Hobbies Monthly standard.) Okay...you do that. Well, that's all for today, folks. We'll see you next time at Sasori's Rock! (Sayonara!)

Aikou kara Sasori!
