Dini ve siyasi lider olarak seçilen aslında bir terörist olan Makaryos 1950 yılından,mutlu Kıbrıs Barış Harekatına (1974) kadar ,ortağı terörist Grivas ve arkasında Yunan devleti ve Yunanistan’dan gizlice gönderilen silahlar ve askerler ile ,Kıbrıs’ta bir anarşi, tedhiş, terör ortamı yaratmış, bütün kötülükleri adaya saçmış .onun olduğu sürece , adanın her yanında ölüm kol gezmeye başlamıştır.Makaryos ve Grivas’ın ölmesiyle insanlık iki caniden kurtulmuştur.
Görüldüğü üzere Makarios, kurulan Kıbrıs Cumhuriyeti’ni bir Cumhurbaşkanı’na bir devlet adamına yakışan bilgi, beceri, ciddiyet ve sorumlulukla değil, bir komitacı Yunan palikaryası gibi, Grivas’ın ve Yunan devletinin desteği ile maşa olarak EOKA’nın çağ dışı kalmış ve köhnemiş yeraltı örgütü mantığı ile yönetmiştir.
Kıbrıs Türk halkını yok etmek için onları katleden,aynı zamanda masum ,İngiliz ve Rumları’da kalleşçe vuran ,bombalarla uçuran ,Grivas ve Makarios, insanlığa karşı işlenebilecek en büyük suçu teşkil eden “soykırım” suçunu işlemiş bir harp suçlularıdır.
İngiltere Muhafazakâr Milletvekili John Hall, Yorgo Grivas’ı en kısa şekliyle şöyle ifade etmiş : “Korkakça düzenlenmiş pek çok vahşi cinayetin işlenmesinde son derece başarılı, ancak Enosis ve Kıbrıs’ın Yunanistan’a bağlanması konusunda tamamen başarısız olmuş, ısmarlama bir suikastçı” diyerek dünyayı uyarmaya çalışmıştır.
Ancak ne hayrettir ki , dünya eli kanlı katilleri özgürlük savaşçısı olarak kabul ediyor ve Papa bile gidip katil Makaryos’a dua ediyor. Her halde masum insanlara yaptıklarından dolayı cehennemin en derinliklerindedirler.
Çalışmamız, tarihsel süreçte Kıbrıs'ta ,Makaros ve EOKA lideri Grivas’ın kendi itiraf ,söz ve anıları ile beraber,Yunan devleti ve Rum ikilisinin ,Kıbrıs’ta Türk halkına neler yaptıkları , özellikle katliamlarını ,nasıl silah ve bombaları adaya gönderdikleri ,sabotaj ve kalleşçe insanların arkadan vurularak katledilmesini ancak dünyaya masum özgürlük savaşçıları olarak gösterilmesini , yaşananların kronolojik bir özetini içermekte ve çeşitli arşiv belgelerinin değerlendirilmesi suretiyle Kıbrıs konusundaki araştırmalara katkı sağlamayı amaçlamaktadır.
