Frankenstein and Humanness: Mary Shelley’s Debate on Science and Nature, 2020

The creature—the created man by Dr. Frankenstein—has taken different paths during its short presence in the novel and ultimately kills its creator. When the creature struggles to know itself, it has a strong wish to get approval from its creator. Here, after being rejected by civilization, the creature becomes grumpy, just as a person who is expelled from the Garden of Eden in Milton’s Paradise Lost. We can realize this novel as an utterly secular book about the dangerous nature of cognition. The creature turns violent and decides to take revenge on his imposed diverge after being repeatedly rejected by human beings. The creature/monster realizes its resemblance to other creatures more precisely than its creator/scientist. Although the scientist has become a grotesque parody of his creature to escape his paternal responsibility, the challenge between a man who is using technology and his illegitimate creation is narrated through a technological apocalypse by Mary Shelley. Science, in this novel, effaces the creator and by assuming the position from its creator, technology causes a sense of emptiness and alienation. While science looks like a powerful artificial intelligence, sometimes it acts as an uncontrollable and destroying weapon.

THE IMPOSED POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER BY COMMUNITIES AND ITS IMPACT ON FEMALES: BEING WOMAN IN TURKEY AND IRAN, 2020

The gender roles of women, the struggle of women for survival in patriarchal societies under Sharia, women’s mental conditions, the violence women have been subjected to, issues such as the normalization of violence, and female rights are also emphasized. Due to the policy of equality between genders in societies, violation and the advocacy of male domination in the realm of femicide should be studied. In both communities, Turkey and Iran, women are restricted from developing their capacities. While their freedom is restricted, they are obliged to live with eventuating psychology. The patriarchal system causes all kinds of violence, abuse, discrimination against women, and restrictions on their right to live independently. Violence, which is one of humanity’s biggest problems, is partitioned within itself while the outcome is always the same. This study is focused on women living in Turkey and Iran when addressing physical and psychological violence they have been subjected to for years, and society’s ideological dilemmas are also investigated. The mobbings and post-traumatic stress disorders that women are subjected to and molded to society are discussed by following the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria manually. This study
emphasizes female perception as semi-individual after restrictions imposed on personal freedom by the moral police in Iran and by the public in Turkey. Discussing women’s place and the neglected psychology of women in society, attention was also drawn to the normalization of the traumas they experienced—by regarding the facts they experienced throughout their lives. By defining all types of violence against women, the stages of violence, society’s attitude towards violence, and the perpetrators’ profiles, women suffered pressure is psychologically examined. The cause of mental illnesses in women who are suffering from violence is exposing their experienced violence. Depending on the situation in which women are in, the issues of normalization are declared precisely. Psychological violence—as abrasive and damaging as physical violence—which deals with two different cultures is
studied in this article.

Shakespeare states that we should suppress our negative feelings and shape our lives accordingly. Shakespeare created a spectacular work by his strong writing skills and reflected the weaknesses of human beings through the charisma of Othello, the deceit of Iago, and the relationship between love and hate. For instance, Iago's personality in Othello is a sick person's psychology who has come to harm humanity. Shakespeare has chosen the theme of jealousy for this *

destructive act of abuse by studying the traumatic post-effects of it on children. The
included data—based on the fulfilled researchers in Turkey in previous years—
demonstrates how the abuse is a serious issue to be taken seriously. The study
discusses types of experienced trauma and the emergence of that breed in later
years. Studies suggest methods to prevent child abuse by informing children.
Besides, various types of trauma occurring after sexual abuse are explained
explicitly. In this context, the studies from the standard profiles of the exploiters
under the DSM 5 diagnostic criteria book of pedophilia, as well as information on
acute PTSD and chronic PTSD developing, are discussed.

The main issue underlying this connection is the self-criticism of women-regarding their eating attitudes and physical appearance. To figure out the degree of the relationship between self-esteem and eating attitudes of female students attending Girne American University, the study will include two distinct measurement instruments for understanding the degree of self-esteem and eating attitudes. The research is quantitative and involves data analysis of total scores of the used scales; as well as scores of subscales for a deeper understanding of the scope of self-esteem and eating attitudes.
