Gardening and Cats
I took a bit of a fall today, but was able to land on my backside. I didn't get seriously hurt, but scraped up in three places, and sore.
Because of that, I postponed mowing until tomorrow. I worked instead on adjusting the water well pressure switch, because that is not physically demanding. I set the cut on pressure to 30 psi, which is correct, but the cut off pressure is now about 48 psi, and I want it still higher. All the adjusting and testing took much longer than I anticipated, and the sun was getting too hot, so I knocked off early and came indoors.
My beans were being attacked by both a gopher and whiteflies. I noticed it in time, and immediately set a trap in the gopher tunnel, and started spraying with horticultural oil.
I will be harvesting tomatoes and beans soon.
The dogs and cats are all healthy and happy. The adult kitten* is getting more domestic. I make a point of talking to her when I see her, and feeding her seperately, and now, the other day, she brushed against me while I was feeding her. She still doesn't want me touching her.
*The adult kitten was a feral kitten that showed up a few years ago. She was essentially raised by the male yellow tabby. I was so busy working at that time that I couldn't make the huge effort to socialize her. Now, I wish I had.
