Robert Williger
I'm currently streamlining and updating my presence on the internet. I'll primarily be updating on these two domains:
- robwilliger.com where I'll share thoughts, observations, and what I've learned about the human condition along with updates on my creative and dramatic projects.
- robertwilliger.com will be the home of my persuasive messaging and marketing strategy services, which are focused on small businesses and professionals.
My goal is to put most of my content on sites under my control. I'd like to move more of my internet tools towards open source, independent, or bootstrapped type entities.
Social Media
I'm no longer active on social media. I still have accounts and profiles on many of the sites but only go there when there's a specific reason that it's the best forum to share or learn more about something.
The reality is that if you want to get a message to a large group of people that you don't have direct connections to social media is the most efficient way. There are the clubs and groups that only post their information on social media channels.
I use it in the way that works for me. Not how the experts say you should use it.
I do try to post updates to my statuslog which also posts to my Mastodon. I do see using Mastodon again, but I'll quickly abandon if it's a threat to my mental health.
While I don't like the interaction that's taken over social media, I like being able to share short thoughts and updates and the statuslog is good for that.
- You can email me at [email protected]
- My other omg.lol sitesite religion.omg.lol will rarely if ever be updated. I still agree with the ideas but focused on sharing those ideas via my dramatic projects.
My current status is:
Projects
- Working on a full-length play, working title Why Isn't The Universe Convinced? That explores ideas of religion, purpose, and how we treat our fellow creatures. After that have plans for a play inspired by my experience in Afghanistan.
- Completed by first short play, A Very High Price, that was part of a reading by Theatre for Veterans in collaboration with American Lives Theatre.
- My dramatic works will be available on New Play Exchange once completed.
- Doing an update to Copywriting for Non-Marketers.
- Memoir of Army experience is on back burner at this time but I do intend to write that. I'm prioritizing my dramatic writing over other creative efforts. Once those projects are completed I'll return to some of my other ideas.
If you want the occasional update on these projects, please enter your email address below.
Here are some of my essays:
- Fears, Lies, and Belief
- Our Fellow Humans Take Priority Over the Supernatural
- PTSD is not a f***ing expression.
My more recent writing is on my Substack, Catch Yourself Thinking
