Hey, guys. Me and China (frottage-- aka the other half of our modding team,) were discussing, and well-- we came to a decision. We decided that it's about time that Rhodivon was to close. I love the game, I really do-- but really, it's more than obvious that a lot of us have lost interest, that we're a little too fargone to reverse. It's sad, to see an RP wither and die like this, so we're just going to stop it before it can get any worse.

If you've got a log or an entry up already, please feel free to continue to play around with that, but as it is no more new content will be permitted. Apologies to everyone who enjoyed this RP, apologies to anyone who had reserves down, and apologies to just about all of you guys in general. It was great, but all good things have to eventually come to an end.

As of May 14th, Rhodivon is CLOSED.

Everyone just seems to be giving up on this place lately. I'm just wondering why? What's your reasoning for it? A lack of activity can turn lots of people off of a game, but what leads to that inactivity? A loss of interest (and what leads to that)? Too busy to play?

A lack of activity tends to lead to more activity. It's not easy to keep something going, but at the same time, if you don't push a little, sometimes nothing gets anywhere. I don't know if I'm being emo or selfish or stupid and stubborn, but I'm not ready to let this place go just yet. How long have we been here? It doesn't feel like that much has happened. There's still plenty of places for this to go.

I just want to know, if you're inactive posting, why? I'm not whining about it, I really, truly want to know. A discussion of what we're doing, where we're going with all this.

I don't want to lose this place. I don't know about the rest of you but I'm willing to keep it up. I'm not asking "is Rhodivon dying?" because that's just a depressing question, and I'm well aware that a good portion of you who still have characters on here either don't pay attention or have moved on (frankly, I feel that if you've moved on, you should at least drop, open up the slots. A small, slow RP looks better to me than one with lots of inactive members).

I guess what I'm just trying to figure out is... why? This place feels like it has so much potential to me. Just... talk to me, people.

I'll be going out of town (again) and I won't be back until Tuesday/Wednesday.

I know I haven't been very active this week, but I've been taking sorta-but-not-really exams all week, then prepping for the REAL exams next week. On top of that my computer's a real butthurt and hasn't let me on for more than 10 minutes.

It's been real guys, but I'm losing interest in these characters.

Today will be an uneventful morning, you tell yourself, as you hoist yourself out of bed. Nothing out of the ordinary. It's a completely normal day.

You walk into your kitchen and begin to make breakfast, then you hear a noise. It could be anything. It's a low hum. Nothing too serious, so you go back to concentrating on your breakfast. It's a shame then that the noise gets closer. You start to get worried, your heart beats faster. You still can't see anything out your front window, and you get shivers right down your spine. But there's nothing to worry about, it's the mailcarrier-- you recognize the sound. He's just coming to deliver your mail. Duh.

You sigh, and laugh a bit a how foolish you were. You run outside to tell the mail-guy your story, and greet him, because they did come all this way to deliver a few bits of paper to you. He's not there. You were sure he hadn't passed. You would have heard him. But no, there's no-one in sight. You frown, puzzled, and go to pick up your mail. But there's nothing in there. How strange. You turn around to go back to eat your breakfast, almost tripping over something on the way. What is that? You pick it up and it's...

It's a small yellow-wrapped package.

You shrug, and take it inside. You were sure that it wasn't there when you walked past, but oh well, you must have just missed it. You flop down in your kitchen chain, with your breakfast in front of you. You tip the envelope upside-down and stare at what had fallen out. It looked like... a bullet, but awfully misshapen, so you pick it up to look. You jerk back, disgusted, and drop the thing on the floor. Your hand goes up to your mouth, and you rush to the bathroom.

It's someone's toe.
