Project Planning

An online tool for creating data management and sharing plans (DMSPs) using funding agency-specific templates, which include sample language, best practice guidance, and resource links, are designed according to data management and sharing policy requirements.

The Open Science Framework (OSF) is a web-based platform that supports research integrity through project planning, study preregistration, and preprint publication.
Data Collection & Project Management

A secure, web-based application for online and offline data capture for clinical research studies and operations and for other types of research studies that require tools for building and managing secure online surveys and databases.
REDCap@UNC supports compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 and HIPAA regulations.

A web-based survey application that offers several advanced features to support a range of research study requirements including question flow logic, quota management, multi-language support, and survey data analysis.

A clinical research management system for handling and tracking essential clinical research operations including protocol management, study participant recruitment, data collection scheduling, billing and payment, and reporting in compliance with federal regulations and standards for Good Clinical Practice.

A secure, web-based electronic lab notebook (ELN) system for recording and documenting research processes in timestamped notebooks as well as organizing data and other files that can be shared among members of research teams and their collaborators.

An electronic Investigator Site File (eISF) application for storing and organizing essential regulatory and study-related documents, handling document approvals and electronic signatures, and managing electronic consent in compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 regulations and standards for Good Clinical Practice.
