Research is one of the key strategic priorities for the University of KwaZulu-Natal, as highlighted in the University’s Strategic Plan for 2023-2032. The plan emphasises enhancing UKZN’s position as a leading international, research-intensive institution dedicated to advancing knowledge and delivering practical solutions to the complex global challenges facing humanity at all levels.
UKZN prides itself on high-quality and impactful research across various disciplines, with an emphasis on local and international collaborations. Research is seamlessly integrated into our teaching and learning to ensure that students benefit from a rich experience that prepares them to engage with and contribute to cutting-edge research in their chosen fields.
