Absolutely. In some books, he orders a "medium vodka dry martini,"
which apparently means "medium vodka" (gin with a "medium" amount of
vodka in it) rather than "medium dry." This fits with the "martini" he
asks for in the first book, which is three-parts gin, one-vodka,
one-half vermouth.

But it's Philistinism all the way. Bruised gin and not enough vodka
for the temperature to make up for it. Why, the next thing you know,
he'll be killing people.
