Being a compulsive collector, I just can't leave poor abandoned dragon eggs to die...
*gg
Finished the furniture building last night. Then was too tired to continue. I'll be doing the vacuuming and decorating next, then I'll take a few pics and post them. I'm putting together a little one page flyer about the room and sending it off to different companies around the area this weekend. We'll see if there's a response... :) And I'll be adding the room to the 'rooms-for-rent' page of the local tourist bureau.
So here's hoping I get some boarders soon. ^__^
Ooops... that means I have to clear out the back hallway. >.> And have some more keys made...
*draws up list*
Will be doing some writing today - between house and cleaning and picking up girl-child from the train station. Currently working on another CC fanfic - smexing's to be done... :) We'll see what the muse has to say about more original stuff...
Taking a quick break. I'm determined to finish up the room next door to my office. I want to rent the room out to boarders - mostly itinerant mechanics, workmen, craftsmen; you know, those who travel from job to job, always in another city or construction site. Most of them come from Poland or Slovakia or other Eastern countries, and usually only stay the week - Sunday night to Friday morning.
I've added a second bed to the room, and am just now putting together the 'catering' area. A small fridge, a microwave, a coffee-maker and a hot-water maker. Just finished putting together the cabinet (from IKEA, of course) where there will be dishes and glasses and cutlery for the guys. Now I have to wait until the 'feet' that I'm glueing onto the cabinet are dry - or rather, the super glue itself. :) Then I can put it all together.
Then I'll screw together the small bedside cabinet, plug in all the lamps, put some nice covers on the beds and make photos. :)
There's a small bathroom attached to the room, so they'll be mostly self-sufficient. The only thing missing - which I'll probably pick up next month - is a small TV with satellite connection. Then the room is set to be rented out.
Heh! I distinctly remember Sister Anna Maria telling someone (Not me) "It's a desk. Not a chair." As long as it holds your stuff and a computer, you'll be fine.

Thank you! I'm very, very happy with it! :)
Getting there. It's a bit of a long process, but she's feeling better already...
It wouldn't hold my weight, should I try to sit on it, but for my papers and the cat it's perfect. :)
And it's *big*! Finally enough room for all my stuff... ^^
