uncluttering and packing
the journey yawning at him
was devoid of disguise
and deception of any size
soon he would no longer be listening
intently to the music from his favorite
radio station or his external hard drive
because the flight was waiting for him
it was set to swallow him up into the sky
and cruise and cruise until it slowed down
and spat him out into a solitary dwelling
where beauty and life danced and dwelt
here in that place the sun sang with fun
imaginings and dreams were a recreation
of boundless space alive with wild wildlife
the African savannah gave him a rare treat
of safari and forested and scented kisses
