Ramblings from The Trenches

As the one or two long-time readers of this blog may recall, when I got back into the hobby in 2009, the first army I revived was my Imperial Guard.

When the new kits dropped last year I was really excited to reinforce my boys and girls and was especially looking forward to painting some new HQ/character units.

This chap will be my army’s go-to Warlord. I took the opportunity to make a few small adjustments to the colour scheme, but nothing major. I’m also considering giving him a spray of matt varnish to remove the shine, but I’ll sleep on that before I make a decision.

This model is also an update on the Warlord I built from the Baneblade Commander parts way back in 2011.

I still have a couple of the new Commissars (including the event exclusive), the Cadia Stands box as well as Ursula Creed. But they’ll have to wait a while until a few more WIPs are out of the way.
