LEGO House

Billund, Denmark

In 2013, RAA won an international competition for the design of the LEGO® House experience. We then worked closely with LEGO designers and children’s education specialists to create the experience zones that are at the heart of the Home of the Brick.

Children and creative souls of all ages can get the ultimate LEGO experience year-round in Billund, Denmark, where the iconic LEGO brick was invented. This tribute to creative play is filled with 25 million LEGO® bricks.

The experience zones comprise four colored play areas, a large gallery of LEGO creations built by fans, and a large exhibition about the history of the LEGO brand—including 200 of the most iconic LEGO boxed sets. These zones are based on four different colors, each representing a special aspect of play and learning. Red is for creative skills, blue is for cognitive skills, green is for social skills, and yellow is for emotional skills. Each color zone has a number of activities that encourage visitors to play.

In addition to the engaging activities, LEGO House offers interactive workshops led by knowledgeable facilitators, where participants can learn advanced building techniques and design methodologies. Families can also participate in collaborative projects, fostering teamwork and communication among members. The atmosphere is vibrant and energizing, making it an unforgettable experience.
