Through a fandom project I found out there are a lot of artists with a desire to create more fanart, as well as a lot of authors who wish for art to go with their stories that aren't part of big writing challenges. Yet both were not sure how to approach each other. I aim to bring y'all together in this art-community by offering opportunities for quick creative collaborations. Challenges are open for fandom artistst with any level of experience and for every art medium you can think of. All ratings, pairings and genres in the SPN fandom are welcome, including RPF and GEN.

Wahey, another round of the quicky_bang done! A big fandom thank you to everyone who participated, I hope y'all had fun:) You are all rockstars, but I want to give a special shout out to dwimpala21 who did an smashing amount of banging this round. Massive kudos to all the authors that offered up their fanfics, your short stories were an inspiration to all of us:)

What's next...
I definitely plan to run another art challenge this year, but it probably won't be until after the Summer. A few people suggested a Reverse Quicky event; but with this being an artist community and because the actual ReverseBang already is open for short fic authors, I don't see the added value for fandom.

However! I have been brainstorming about offering a space for orphan artworks that were made and published as stand alones or for other events, but that never had a fic attached to it. I was thinking of creating a reverse version of the MatchMaker Challenge, so with blind dates for authors. The artworks wouldn't be published in the community, but rather handed out as a mystery option to authors of short fics who can sign up with their prefered pairings or characters of choice.
I would love to know if artists would be interested in putting those type of artworks up for adoption. (I know I have a few artworks I'd love to see a story for:)
