Okay, here's what I love about LJ and fandom, in part anyway. As fanartists, we very seldom get folks making fanart for us. Sometimes we'll get fics written, based on our art (and I think I may be luckier than most, in that department), but either way, it's SUCH a treat! Warms my cockles, wherever those actually are. This is in part why I refused to let spn_summergen and spn_reversebang wither, and I adore spnspringfling so much.

I donated to cassiopeia7's FandomAid thread in exchange for a drawing, and asked her to pick a scene from any of my fics. I almost never get art for my writing unless it's a Bang or I do it myself, so this was a real treat. But how much of a treat? I couldn't have predicted. Add to it that she picked a really tender scene and I'm beside myself with teary glee! GO SEE IT. There is so much to love about it!

Okay, y'all, this is really lovely. Everyone probably knows I do The Artstuffing and occasionally write for our loverly fandom. But I can't reiterate enough how effin' awesome it is to collaborate on creative projects, deliberately or not. monicawoe and I always have hella good time working and learning together and it's one of the reasons I'm addicted to bangs and challenges: the teamwork.

I don't get folks creating art for my fics very often. Understandably. BUT! When it happens, it's crazy-sexy-cool. And this is one of those times RIGHT HERE.
