My current research employs criminological theory to analyse the various experiences of street youths, and how they lead to their involvement in crime.

In this area of my work, I am wrapping up a book chapter on the inadvertent ramifications that Mexico's "Ley de Cultura Civica" has on street mothers. Along with various conference presentations.

As a side project, I am wrapping up an article on the state's role in the control of irregular immigration as social harm in Arizona.

Like homeless street children, street family children live on the street full time, but do so wit... more Like homeless street children, street family children live on the street full time, but do so with their families, and are mainly the children of indigenous migrants (11). Chapters two (Mexico) and ten (Peru) expand on the field methods employed. Hollingsworth relies on ethnography in order to explore the subculture of street children. Hollingsworth undertakes two forms of ethnographic observation, participant and non-participant observation, as well as one-on-one interviews with the street children.
