Welcome to the North Shore Community Association The North Shore Community Association (NSCA), established in 2000, is a non-profit regional organization dedicated to serving, representing, and instilling pride in the English-speaking community of Quebec’s North Shore. The NSCA, a community group that is working towards representing the interests of the English-speaking people from Tadoussac to Havre-St.Pierre including Fermont and Schefferville. Programs & Initiatives At NSCA, we take pride in serving the English-speaking population in the North Shore with top-notch services and programs. We are always exploring the needs of our communities through research, and then we create tailored programs to meet those needs. We’re excited to continue working with you to enhance the well-being of our communities! Community Programs NSCA is committed to providing high-quality services and programs for the English-speaking population across the North Shore. We regularly conduct research within our communities to establish the current needs of the population, and implement programs to address these needs. Health and Social Services Initiative A formal Health and Social Services Networking Partnership Initiative committee consisting of members from community organizations, the health and social services sector and the English-speaking community. Projects Capturing Community The North Shore Community Association’s mural promotes our region in how the communities see the North Shore through photography and the eye of the photographer, and highlights the merits of the vibrant, diverse communities within and beyond the region. McGill NSCA and McGill’s collaboration initiative seeks to provide resources to help the English community access resources to help facilitate their educational path and increase access to English speaking Quebecers. Online Exhibit The “In Search of Yesterday” heritage exhibit, an intergenerational community initiative, marked the 75th anniversary of Baie-Comeau and commemorates the heritage and culture of the town’s English-speaking community.
