Trying to describe myself in anything less than an essay is difficult, and there's no way any one-liner's going to cut it, so instead here are some of the highlights:
* I love music and dancing. I especially enjoy playing Bemani games like Dance Dance Revolution, DrumMania and Para Para Paradise, but I'm also taking lessons in ballroom and latin (Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Swing, Cha-cha-cha and Rumba), and I regularly attend line dancing classes. Yes, line dancing, possibly the only form of dance nerdier than DDR, although these days there are plenty of high-energy dances to non-country songs. * I like watching anime and reading manga. Some of my favourites are Evangelion (the standard "first anime that I knew was Japanese" anime), Read or Die, and Seargent Frog (Keroro Gunsou). I also enjoy reading Hollow Fields by the very talented clockwork_hands, but I am still wrestling with the philosophical question of whether something by a non-Japanese person is actually a "manga" (and don't get me started on Afro Samurai). * Combining these two interests, I have created the first "anime line dances". Check out my journal, where I will occasionally post step sheets. * I work for the Australian Bureau of Statistics, in Methodology Division. And I enjoy it. * That said, I work to live, I don't live to work. The most important thing to me are my friends and family, many of whom are listed below.
