Abstract
The theory of the possible worlds represents a transition in fiction studies, especially in narration field; actually, it attempts to reveal those areas between the external reality world, textual truth, and imagination.
The worlds possible in the origin it is a philosophical theory, and therefore it’s literary applications are rare even in the anglo-saxone or fracophone criticism that produced it and originated in it. However, the works of Emberto Eco were one of the most obvious applications in this context, which will be treated here in this research while we are discussing the importance of historical novel with it’s documentary reference that combine the elements of reality with the imagination to form multiple worlds dimensional. By studying “ The Corsair “ a historical novel of Abdul Aziz Al Mahmoud we are trying to reveal these dimensions through the perspective of possible worlds, passing – at the same time – over the representations of historical narrative in Qatar .
