Instruction for Using the Certification Logo (Including ISO 22000)
1. Principles for Using the Certification Logo
The certification logo should only be used for the purpose of expressing the credibility of the certified organization.
The certification logo should only be used in a manner consistent with the scope and purpose of the certification and should not be used in a manner that may cause misunderstanding.
2. Permitted Use of the Certification Logo
The certification logo may only be used in marketing materials such as brochures, reports, and advertisements related to certified products, services, activities, processes, and systems.
The certification logo should not be used on the product itself or on product packaging (as specified in ISO 22003-1:2022 and ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015).
3. Prohibitions on Using the Certification Logo
The logo must not be displayed on a product, product label, or product-related certificate in a way that misleads people into thinking that the product is certified.
It must not be used in any way that exceeds the scope of certification or results in false claims.
In the case of ISO 22000, the certification mark must not be used on the product or its packaging. “Product packaging” includes both primary packaging (which contains the product) and any outer or secondary packaging.
Any statement that a client has a certified ISO 22000 system must not be used on product packaging.
4. Requirements for Logo Use
The certification logo must comply with specified design guidelines (color, ratio, size, etc.) and must not be distorted or altered in any way.
When used together with the name or logo of theqaed, it must be clearly distinguished and not cause confusion.
5. When the Certification Status Changes
If the certification is canceled, suspended, reduced in scope, or expired, the logo must no longer be used immediately.
Any changes related to the certification status must be reported to the certification body immediately and can only be applied once approved.
6. Actions Against Misuse
If any inappropriate use of the certification logo is found, the certification body may request correction or take legal action if necessary.
