This technology is not being properly harnessed by today’s teenagers. This can be attributed to students’ lack of proper knowledge and expertise for its usage. The purpose of this study is to examine the benefits and challenges of putting to use the educational potential of the Social Networking Sites widely available on the internet. It found out many benefits for the teachers, students and parents alike. It recommended that policies should be put in place to guide usage and that technical skills appropriate for its effective use should be incorporated in secondary school curriculum.

The untimely death of many people suffering from hypertension had been most of the time as a result of untimely medical attention received by people at the peak of their suffering. The use of mobile medical monitoring system is therefore inevitable in other to address the problem of limited medical facilities in most of the remote areas and semi-urban part of Nigeria. The model was designed using unified modelling language. JAVA (standard edition) was used to develop and simulate the model while MYSQL was used as the back end. The medical data of the hypertensive patients were routed from the mobile sensor implanted on the patients via the General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) of a local GSM Network to the Patient Record Database which was hosted online to...

Current challenges relating to infrastructures, cybercrime, government policies and so on that mitigate the benefits accruable from a virile ICT growth have also been highlighted. However, research also needs to really address possible areas of developmental benefit of ICT to rural target groups such as farmers, extension officers, health and social workers This paper explores possible alignment of ICT4D2.0 goals to ICT development in Nigeria. It posited that the digital divide that ICTD1.0 sets to bridge are still very evident at grassroots level. Adding computing and Internet functionality to technologies that already penetrate the grassroots such as mobiles phones, radios and televisions will enhance ICT4D2.0 goals in Nigeria. The average primary and secondary school set of students are generally known to be naïve about the danger their careless attitude towards the dissemination of private information poses to them and their immediate families and relatives. The online presence of primary and secondary pupils in the cyberspace is growing by the day while there is virtually no education for the pupils who are oblivion of the available threats to their safety through the use of internet. Adoption of Cyber Security Education among the younger students can save the society from the growing trend of Cybercriminal attacks on the young ones and their immediate environment. This study presents the roadmap that can be used in inculcating Cyber Security awareness training in the educational curriculum of primary and secondary schools in Nigeria.

The need for sophisticated methods of cyber-security efforts has led to recent developments in cyber-security solutions that combine both human and machine intelligence in addressing the explosive rate of cyber-attacks.

The aforementioned are often associated with higher institutions of learning and the non-availability or inadequacies are likely to short change the skills, exposure and experience a student should achieve whilst undergoing higher studies/learning. More importantly, the university's faculties are also constrained with insufficient teaching aids and working hours as well as inadequate supporting technology for teaching and doing other administrative works. BYOD policy has proven that individual device ownership, unlimited (round-the-clock) resource accessibility, independent device usage and maintenance culture are critical factors that aids promptness, performance and productivity as well as work-from-home and or studyanywhere culture. Similarly cost of acquiring equipment that supports teaching and learning are reduced when BYOD policies are introduced. This paper focusses on the benefits of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy and how Universities can leverage on it to complement electronic learning and thus improve teaching and learning experiences.

The untimely losses in many cattle farm had been most of the time as a result of lack of timely and adequate discovery of diseases in the farm. The problem of limited technological solutions in monitoring the well-being of cattle has led to various diseases that reduce the yield in production of cattle farming. Early detection of diseases will help in making further provision for preventive measures and also reduce the overall cost of treatment in cattle farming. The use of WSN is therefore inevitable in other to address the problem usually face by cattle farmers in Nigeria. Various mode of WSN application are discussed and different technological approaches are identified with the aim of suggesting an adoptable solution for effective monitoring and tracking system for cattle farming in Nigeria. In conclusion, the paper discusses proven beneficial effect of adopting and implementing WSN solutions to monitor and track cattle status in Nigeria.
