Recently, e-book was used in conducting DBC20012 Computer Application course in Politeknik Ungku ... more Recently, e-book was used in conducting DBC20012 Computer Application course in Politeknik Ungku Omar. Their thought towards e-book usage is needed since they are the direct users who mostly use it for learning. Thus, the purpose of this study was to determine students' adoption of e-book in DBC20012 Computer Application classroom. The sample of this study was students who took DBC20012 Computer Application course at Politeknik Ungku Omar. The data was collected using questionnaire which contained 6 sections; demographic profile, behavioural intention, performance expectancy, social influence, effort expectancy and facilitating conditions. The data was analysed using descriptive statistic and correlation analysis. Result indicated that performance expectancy, social influence, effort expectancy and facilitating conditions influence the adoption of e-books. The findings of this study could help to improve DBC20012 Computer Application course delivery via e-book in accordance with the preferences and capabilities of students.

As a result, the quality of education system in Malaysia was questioned. A part of education system in Malaysia is Polytechnic that produces highly skilled graduates. However, lack of employability skills is a barrier for employment. Therefore, this study would like to determine the employers’ perception on Malaysian polytechnic graduates’ employability skills. The respondent of this study are Polytechnic Ungku Omar (PUO) graduates who graduated from 2014/2015 session. Data was collected using questionnaires that were distributed to 331 employers that employed Polytechnic Ungku Omar (PUO) graduates. Variables used in this study are technical skills, knowledge skills and generic skills. The result showed that the employers’ have favourable perception on PUO graduates. The process of empowering Polytechnics as the statutory body to be implemented through governance system that emphasizes the decline of power, greater autonomy in giving direction and clear accountability. It is necessary planning to ensure the acceptance of all parties and stakeholders in line with the Malaysian Education Development Plan (Higher Education). Therefore, this study is needed to provide an understanding of the implementation of Polytechnic institutions as the statutory body
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the degrees of initial public offering (IPOs) underpr... more The purpose of this paper is to investigate the degrees of initial public offering (IPOs) underpricing in Malaysia (listed on Main Market of Bursa Malaysia). Based on 46 IPOs data collected from 2012 until 2015 in Bursa Malaysia, the degree of IPOs underpricing was calculated and factors of IPOs underpricing was determinants. A sample of 46 IPOs listed on main market (new listing) of Bursa Malaysia from 2012 until 2015 was used. The effect of determinants factors were examined in this study is issues price, offer size, and types of industries into degrees of IPOs underpricing. The preliminary results indicate that over the study period, the initial returns of Malaysian IPOs have positive returns. The results of this study found that high underpricing in the initial trading is not determined poor performance. This study only take part in IPO companies that listed in main market from 2012 until 2015 (new listing). This study provides the general insight for investors regarding IPOs performance.

Objektif kajian ialah untuk melihat sama ada laman web yang dihasilkan mempunyai ciri-ciri mesra pengguna dan dapat membantu meningkatkan kefahaman pelajar. Kajian ini melibatkan seramai 50 orang responden yang terdiri daripada pelajar Diploma Akauntansi, Semester 6 yang mengambil kursus Pembangunan Keusahawanan di Politeknik Ungku Omar sesi 2003/2004. Analisis data dibuat dengan menggunakan
perisian Microsoft Excel bagi data soal selidik bahagian A dan Statistical Package For Social Sciences (SPSS) bagi data soal selidik bahagian B. Hasil kajian menunjukkan pendekatan web dapat menarik minat pelajar dan memperolehi skor min sebanyak 3.20. Kajian juga menunjukkan bahawa laman web yang dihasilkan mempunyai ciri-ciri mesra pengguna dengan nilai skor min adalah 3.35 dan membantu meningkatkan kefahaman pelajar dengan nilai skor min adalah 3.21.
