On 26 January 2025 Pugwash co-hosted a webinar to explore the alarming dangers posed by the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into nuclear weapons systems. Pugwash was one of three Nobel Peace Prize-winning organizations dedicated to eliminating nuclear weapons who organized the event, along with International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW, 1985 Nobel Laureates) and International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN, 2017 Nobel Laureates).
