Partner canvas meetings with City of Oslo has been conducted, and we are in the process of concretising the challenges we can address together.
Thematic Working Group on Risk Management (climate risk):
We organised a roundtable discussion on climate risk, nature risk, and ESG reporting together with Oslc Science City and DNV – read the summary in Norwegian.
Norwegian AI-Centres call:
Together with UiO, NR, SINTEF, and other Norwegian institutions we have sent in a draft of a mission-oriented research center focusing on trustworthy AI, called TRUST. We would like to thank all of you that have assisted us in this process.
TRUST aims to develop AI systems and governance ecosystems that are fair, efficient, safe, and sustainable. The research will be foundational, interdisciplinary, and multi-methodological, conducted by three communities: machine learning, governance, and philosophy. In partnership with private and public users, and leading AI research groups, TRUST aims to create impact across various sectors, enabling trustworthy AI innovation and governance.
The work is now beginning, and the final application must be submitted by January 15, 2025. TRUST will also have a user program and we look forward to active participation from all our partners in dScience. DSTrain hiring 18 new researchers:
DSTrain is a 5-year postdoctoral programme that will award 36 postdoctoral fellowship positions of 36 months each in two calls over the programme period within the overarching frame of data science. We have now concluded the first call and are hiring 18 new researchers within 1. October. We hope this will inspire further collaboration and the exchange of ideas.
dScience lunch seminars in the Science Library, UiO:
We are finalising an exciting lunch seminar program for the upcoming fall. By popular requests we will be streaming the main lunch seminars that takes place in the Science Library. You can find previous recordings here. Stay tuned. |
