Hi, I’m Peter 👋🏻

Here, I like to share my thoughts on productivity, technology, personal development, and creativity.

• My passion is music, specifically barbershop harmony. I'm a member of Limelight quartet, musical director of Main Street Sound, and a founder member of York City Harmonisers.

• I work as a software engineer at Qured. I've worked remotely since 2020, and I specialise in building mobile apps using the Flutter framework.

• I've always been obsessed with software and hardware. The first computer I used was my grandpa’s desktop PC, which ran Windows 95. Since then I've always been curious about the possibilities that technology can unlock.

• My happy place is the great outdoors. I'm fortunate enough to live close to some of Britain's most beautiful countryside, and I love surrounding myself with nature.

• I love photography, even though I have red-green colourblindness. I try to embrace my vision differences in my photos.

• I have ADHD and Crohn's disease. One causes brain farts; the other causes real farts. (Sorry.)

• Things that make me happy include coffee, video games, whisky, vinyl records, books, steam trains, and the Oxford comma.

What to expect from this site

This site is my home on the internet. It's my way of documenting my experiences, work, and interests.

What I choose to post will vary. I might have read an interesting book or blog post, or heard a good podcast. I might have been to a beautiful place, or found an amazing piece of software I think you should try. Sometimes my brain even generates creative ideas of its own that I like to share.
