Conditionals are sentences used to express actions and one action depend to another it means
the first clause depends to another for result, we use if as the main clause, It consists of two
parts the If clause as the condition and main clause as the result.
Generally we have four types of conditionals
 Zero conditional
 First conditional
 Second Conditional
 Third conditional
Example: If it rains + we will cancel the party.
The word If introduces the condition, because we don’t know if it will happen, there is
always a condition and the result and the main clause is the result of that condition, we can
also make a reverse when writing conditionals, starting from the result then condition as well
as starting from condition then result as follow: If it rains will cancel the party or Will
cancel the party if it rains.

2. Definition

Conditionals are sentences also known as conditionals clauses or if clauses, they are used to
express that the action in the main clause, without if , can only take place if a certain
condition with If is fulfilled.
We use conditionals to talk about:
 What actually happen
 What could happen
 What we wish would happen
 What might have happened?
We have four types of conditionals.
 Zero conditional
 First conditional
 Second conditional
 Third conditional.
Normally we use conditionals IF, without IF the sentences are not conditionals, we use
conditional to join two sentences using If. The all differences relies in the verb, in all the
sentences in conditionals the verb changes. Conditionals are used to talk about the result of an
imagine or certain conditional.
If it rains + we will cancel the party.
IF Clauses + Main clauses.

In this project or topic we learnt about the conditionals, first we defined as the sentences used
to express actions and each sentence depend to one another, for example if clauses and main
clauses.
We learnt that they are four types.
Zero conditionals- express things that are true.
First conditionals- express certain condition in the future.
Second conditionals- express unreal or imaginary situations in future.
Third conditionals – Express unreal or imaginary situations in the past.
We generally use conditionals to talk about the result of an imagined or certain condition.
