How do I provide alternate nine slice GUI textures when the element is too small to use all sides? Question
I have created a nine-slice frame texture for the tooltips in Minecraft. This frame incorporates a gradient for its colour, meaning that each corner is coloured differently on its edges. The edges are set to stretch along with the length of the tooltip box's size. That smooths the colours along those edges, however, a number of tooltips are so small that with the size of my corners, edges are cut out entirely, leading to corners meeting each other.
How do I achieve a smooth colour along the entire frame?
Reducing the corner size isn't an option, since that would make me lose out on shape details. The current corners stretch down right past the small circles on the visible edges.
