Everyone loves a hero! Between them, the Lone Ranger and Doctor Who have been saving the Old West and the Universe for nearly a century. The Masked Man and Tonto got their start on radio in 1933 and went on to appear in radio, television, and the movies for decades, while Doctor Who first appeared on television screens in 1963 and has hardly been off since.
Project Audion and the British Emporium now present two live audio recreations from these well-loved series, each with a special twist. "Doctor Who" never was a radio series - but a pilot episode was recorded in 1966. The audio was wiped, but the script survived, and this will be a unique opportunity to hear what might have been. And joining our cast for a 1949 Lone Ranger episode will be Grapevine's own Mayor William D. Tate, a fan of the masked man since boyhood.
