A Progress Planner plugin

AAA Option Optimizer

The free AAA Option Optimizer plugin helps identify which autoloaded options are actually in use. It quietly monitors your site activity and builds a clear picture of what’s needed and what isn’t. Once that data is collected, you can either delete unused options or simply prevent them from autoloading.

Your WordPress site pulls data from various plugins and themes. These settings are stored in the wp_options table and help your plugins function properly. But when a plugin is deactivated, its settings may remain. Many of these settings are still autoloaded every time a page loads. And this can slow your site down.

After installing the plugin, it needs to track activity across your site’s frontend and backend. You can let it run as you use your site normally over a few days, or you can manually visit every page on your site and in the admin.

Once you’ve done that, head over to the plugin’s settings screen. You’ll see a list of unused options there. From there, you can choose to remove the unused option completely or disable the autoloading for specific options.

Cleaning up unused options can make your site faster and more reliable.
