Controls
Menu: Z to start game.
Game: X to pump coffee press (make coffee), Z to pour coffee into nearby mugs
Mechanics
Sort of a very small diner dash game. You have a coffee press which magically restores coffee when pumped (X). But it only holds 4 pours and you need 2 pours to fill a cup! Keep that pump hand ready!
Commentary
I spent lots and lots of time in this game's file, and it sure doesn't look it. I threw away several different ideas before landing at this, but it came out surprisingly well. Play as 'Patrick' trying to serve that good coffee to absent customers. If you care about your results, try to do it fast and without spilling (overfilling) any! The game is themed off a Waypoint Radio podcast episode title, simply, 'Pump-Action Patrick'.

The game should work great in the browser whether downloaded or not! Download the ZIP and put both files in the same folder, then double-click on 'pumpactionpat.html'. It should open like a normal webpage.
The binaries just need to be downloaded and unzipped on the correct kind of computer - they should work from the unzipped folder with no extra messing. I'm just using the built-in PICO-8 binary export, but please let me know if something is weird with them. It is a new enough feature.
If you have PICO-8 and want to check out the game's code/etc. or just play it in the 'real thing', download either pumpactionpat.p8 or pumpactionpat.p8.png to your pico-8/carts directory, then load from within the game with 'load pumpactionpat'.
