    From an early age, I like to tinker with all kinds of tech related things.

    I’m inspired by FOSS projects.

    Gradually, I’ve landed and remained in the open web space.

    reading, open web, open source, blogging occasionally, and editing wikis

    WordPress Origin Story

    As a user, I’ve self-hosted WordPress sites in an on-and-off basis starting with v1.5 in 2005.

    At the time, I’ve content that I want to be published in a blog-like site, along with the need for some publishing related features. Manually coding / re-implementing the features in PHP would have exceeded the time available. WordPress fits the scenario well: easy to install/customize/extend and lets me to self-host which many blog platforms don’t.
