Bio

Hi, I’m Kyle Victor, but you can call me “KV.” I’m the second of three siblings, my brothers are currently living in Ireland, while I’m still based in the Philippines. At the moment, I have no plans to move there as I’m focused on raising my little one, Ky Yssabelle. Maybe in the future, I’ll make the move, but it all depends on what comes next.

I’m currently immersed in the WordPress community, having worked in roles related to WordPress both in the past and present. I’ve learned that knowing WordPress is just scratching the surface there’s so much more to explore, and I’m committed to learning something new every day.

Interests

Basketball, trail and road running, manhwas, Chinese novels, computer games (Dota 2, Valorant, Apex Legends), Android mobile phones, camping, and beach vacations.

WordPress Origin Story

Back in 2022, while working at Shopify as a Shopify Guru/Advisor, I was contacted by someone to join BlueSky or WP-Live as a WordPress support specialist. This introduced me to the world of WordPress, where I learned to build WordPress sites, install and configure plugins, choose themes, and use page builders, among other skills. I was given the responsibility of making site changes on behalf of clients or based on their requests. My role included working one-on-one with customers to improve their sites, fix bugs, and handle tasks like content updates, product updates, creating new pages and posts/articles, adjusting fonts and colors, increasing memory limits, transferring sites from Cloudways to their respective domain URLs, and much more. Additionally, I handled all communication channels including emails, chat, and phone, and provided coaching through video-sharing of clients’ desktop views to guide them through the process.
