Bio

I am an experienced technical writer with a strong ability to simplify complex concepts into clear, accessible content for diverse audiences. My passion lies in creating high-quality documentation that enhances understanding, usability, and overall user experience across various technical domains.

As an active member of the WordPress community, I serve as a Meetup Co-Organizer for WordPress Jinja in Uganda, where I help cultivate a vibrant, inclusive local community. I have co-organized WordCamp Jinja in 2024 and 2025, and have been a speaker at multiple WordPress events besides our regular Meetup, including WordCamp Jinja 2024 and 2025, WordCamp Nairobi 2024 and WordCamp Masaka 2025. My sessions have focused on topics such as content strategy, inclusive community design, and digital marketing.

Through my contributions, I aim to foster collaboration, promote knowledge-sharing, and advocate for diversity in open source. I am especially passionate about using storytelling and documentation to make technology more accessible and impactful across Africa.

WordPress Origin Story

My journey with WordPress began in the early 2010s, shortly after studying Media and Literature at Makerere University in 2010. With a deep love for storytelling and a growing curiosity about the digital world, I started blogging as a way to share ideas, document experiences, and connect with like-minded creatives. WordPress quickly became more than just a blogging platform — it became a canvas for my words and a gateway into a global open-source community.

What began as personal blogging evolved into technical writing, content strategy, and community organizing. I discovered that my ability to simplify complex ideas — honed through literary studies — was a powerful tool in tech. That realization led me to a career in digital marketing and technical writing, where I create documentation that empowers users across different platforms.

Over the past decade, I have also organized numerous creative and tech events across Uganda, focused on empowering storytellers, developers, and digital creators. In addition to my work in the WordPress community, I serve as a co-lead organizer of GDG (Google Developer Groups) Jinja, where I continue to support open source, innovation, and inclusive developer education.

As an active Meetup Organizer for WordPress Jinja, I’ve co-organized WordCamp Jinja 2024 and 2025, and spoken at WordCamp Nairobi 2024 and WordCamp Masaka 2025. My talks focus on content creation, inclusive design, and building communities that thrive on collaboration and accessibility.

WordPress has given me a platform to write, teach, build, and connect — and I’m committed to helping others find their voice in this space just as I found mine.
