I’m Er. Md. Shahin Akhter, known in the digital space as “iShahinAkhter”, and my journey with WordPress is deeply rooted in a lifelong passion for technology, design, and public empowerment.

Coming from Supaul, Bihar, and with a core background in Civil Engineering (MIT 2010–2014), I started creating websites out of curiosity and a need to share useful knowledge with the world. As the founder of WEBDESIGNWALA, I’ve designed, developed, and scaled multiple platforms – from affiliate marketing to government awareness portals – all powered by WordPress.

My WordPress journey began in the early 2010s, when I was experimenting with self-hosted websites and looking for alternatives to restrictive platforms. WordPress stood out to me not just as a CMS, but as a movement of digital freedom, one that aligned with my mission to simplify online access to civil engineering knowledge, exam preparation, and public utilities.

Over time, I launched my first project (a 10-year-old project), Pro Civil Engineer, BPSC Mitra, iOSGuru, JNV.CO.IN, and CARDPEDIA – each tailored to unique audiences but unified by the same WordPress-powered foundation. Most of these platforms now serve tens of thousands of users monthly, and are built with tools like GeneratePress, GenerateBlocks, and lean SEO-first strategies.

Though I haven’t yet taken the stage at a WordCamp, my mission is aligned with the WordPress community’s spirit: open knowledge, regional inclusion, and creative autonomy. I’m actively planning to contribute more deeply—especially in Hindi localization, community support, and making WordPress more accessible in rural India.

For me, WordPress is not just a tool. It’s the bridge between my offline civil service vision and my online digital impact and I’m just getting started.
