WordPress Origin Story

I was studying in high school, when they hired a new sys-admin guy there. He just graduated out of university and got his tech degree, but, man, he knew a lot. Once I met him at the library and we talked about some antivirus solutions (it was 2009). He told me he was using one they developed with a his friend. That was so dope for me as a computer geek. Later I discovered that he actually is a SEO/SEM pro, and that he runs a couple of WordPress blogs. By the way, at that moment I was already coding some desktop apps with Visual Basic, Delphi, C#, but after meeting my new friend I got really involved into web development and making money from the web stuff. I started learning from him after school and he taught me how to start my first own blog on WP, customize it, make it profitable. That’s how it all started.

Since then I worked on 100s of WP sites, developed about 80 custom plugins as a freelancer.

And in 2016 I started my own business with 2 best-selling premium plugins for WooCommerce (developed by me). One Click Upsells and Handsome Checkout. The Upsells plugin helped WooCommerce storeowners all over the world make $12MM of additional upsell revenue (selling in USD and 26 more currencies) to date.
