    Bio

    A computer technician of 30 years, I’ve been hosting websites, as well as coaching businesspeople how to create & get the most from their websites for the past 10 years. Increasingly, I’ve been doing a great deal of fixing websites when their hacked or otherwise broken, & this is really my area of expertise. I’ve recently completed a book entitled “My Site’s Been Hacked, Now What?: Fixing & Preventing a Website Compromise”.

    WordPress Origin Story

    I got involved w/WordPress back in 2010 when a client asked me to help her & her husband create a new website for their business. Their last one had been created back in the late 90’s, it was brochure-style, & the coding reflected the practices of the time. They were also eager to be able to update the site without having to pay someone, & they were therefore thrilled when I told them about WordPress. propane-conversions.com & progressivefueltechnologies.com are the results of their creation, with help from me as a hosting provider, setting things up, teaching them how to use WordPress, etc.
