Thus, the implementation of the Environmental Management System in University is crucial to achieving sustainable development. This study is a literature review of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System implementation in University. The discussions are among the EMS implementation in Indonesia’s university, as well as in other country universities. The implementation started from the environmental policy that was made by the university adjusting to the ISO 14001, the environmental management planning, implementation, and assessment for evaluation. Several universities have been implementing an environmental management system but still need improvement. Universities should start implementing environmental management pra...

At the same time, MSMEs cumulative contribution to environmental issues is not recorded MSMEs participation in the cleaner environment has not yet been noticed. Thus, the environmental management system for MSMes is crucial. This study is a literature review about the implementation of the ISO 14001 environmental management system in MSMEs, challenges and its future potential. The result and discussion discussed the case study of ISO 14001 implementation in Indonesia and other countries. Case studies from Indonesia and other countries showed that implementation of ISO 14001 is possible for MSMEs. The biggest challenges of its implementation is cost, the competence of employees, and resources available for the organization. An alternative for overcoming these challenges is implementing other models of EMS ...

Therefore, the aim of this study is to evaluate Jakarta’s air quality monitoring system by comparing it to the US, which participates in Indonesia’s air quality monitoring system by using their own system. In specific, parameters such as air quality index, monitoring stations, regulation and data availability are to be compared through reviewing various literatures in detail. The result obtained shows that the monitoring station amount is already ideal and complies to the U.S regulation. Indonesia’s ambient air quality standard need to be stricter and Air Pollutant Standard Index should include PM2.5 as a parameter obtains significantly better results. Air quality data is available and accessible, although it needs to be integrated and provide real time inf...

Intensive water quality determination needs to be adjusted with technological developments to meet today's society's needs and increased water pollution due to urbanization. Therefore, early detection is essential for in site water quality determination and as a critical consideration in making health and environmental decisions. OpenCV is a library programming feature for Computer Vision which focuses on extracting information from images in real-time, this can be considered to be potential to measure the pollutant concentration. Objectives: This study identify the potential of colorimetry analysis method by using OpenCV as an alternative method for color and ammonia measurement. Method and results: First stage, this study collecting the data of NH3 phenate and Pt-Co CU from the spectrophotometer. The first stage also was including the development of an OpenCV code. Then, the da...
