Paul Whalen is a Senior Staff Software Engineer at PEAK6 Capital Management, an options trading firm headquartered in Chicago. Over his 10+ year career, he has worked across multiple layers of the application stack but has a strong passion for the data layer. Paul has also contributed to open-source projects including Apache Kafka and Apache Arrow.
